Our Club Vision
Bunbury Barbarians Junior Rugby Union is committed to creating a positive, inclusive, and development-focused rugby environment for players and families across the South West.
Our club is built on strong community values, with a focus on participation, teamwork, respect, diversity, and inclusion. We aim to create opportunities for all children to enjoy rugby in a safe and supportive environment, regardless of experience or background.
Through player development, volunteer support, and strong community connections, we strive to grow the game locally while bridging the gap between grassroots junior rugby and future playing pathways.
Choose Respect
We are proud of members’ respectful behaviour on and off the field. Barbarians partners with Bunbury Respect Inc. to embrace the CHOOSE RESPECT program and be part of the positive movement for change in our community. This is to UPHOLD, SAFEGUARD & REINFORCE core values that are important to us.
The Choose Respect message is reinforced by the recognisable signage and promotion that is consistent within our club and the wider community.
Barbarians commit to supporting each other and being respectful by showing kindness, care and consideration. Respect is shown through actions, attitudes, words and behaviours.

Good Sports
We are committed to fostering an inclusive family focused culture. Our emphasis is on promoting initiatives with a preventative focus, to create a safe environment and minimise risk of injury and harm.
Sporting clubs such as ours play a significant role in the community and have a responsibility to our members and their families. We have chosen to join over 7000 clubs across Australia taking part in the Good Sports program.
Through Good Sports we are committed to managing alcohol responsibly and ensuring smoke free areas, which we believe will help us to provide a healthy, safe and family friendly environment.
Together, we are helping inspire a healthier sporting nation.
During the last season we have maintained our level 3 accreditation.
